Description

The mountain Toreskyrkja is not as high as Gaustatoppen, but this 3 km hike is actually more challenging than the path to Gaustatoppen from Stavsro.

However, it will probably be worth the effort – when you reach the top you will have a great view towards Gaustatoppen, Tuddal and the mountains south in Telemark.

Get here: Start at Kvitåvatnevegen in Vatnedalen.

From here there is a T-marked trail towards the top of Torekyrkja.

The path will be rocky with passages of stone blocks, so make sure to bring hiking boots with good ankle support for a safe trip.

The round-trip is about 6,2 km long and takes about 4 hours (both ways).

Please note that the trail starts at 958 meters and take you all the way up to 1371 meters, which means a total climb of 414 meters.
